"Representing Landscapes: Hybrid" is a continuum of the Representing Landscapes Series which discusses theoretical  and practical aspects of visual representation in landscape architecture using mixed-media approaches and outcomes. Similar to the previous publications, the drawings are  supported by critical and  narrative short essays focused on the hybrid visual communication. 

Award- winning landscape architect and educator, Mikyoung Kim wrote the foreword for this publication.

“Representing Landscapes: Digital” is the latest edition to the representing landscapes book series. The book discusses theoretical practical aspects of visually communicating landscape architectural designs using digital means and new technologies. This book is structured by drawing types, including the presentation plans, diagrams and mapping drawings, section-elevation, axo drawings, perspectives, and 3D modeling and more.

Award- winning landscape architect and educator, James Corner wrote the foreword for this publication.

Representing Landscapes: A Visual Collection of Landscape Architectural Drawings

“Representing Landscapes” is a book which covers the important topic of visual communication in the education of landscape architecture. It is a careful curation of students’ works from international landscape architecture programs. The images are supplemented with critical and narrative essays on the topics of visual representation in the profession - contributed by studio professors - creating a valuable resource for students on the various techniques and styles used in communicating concepts. Contributors include award winning landscape architect, Walter Hood (Berkeley), Chris Reed (Stoss, GSD), Roberto Rovira (FIU), and more.

The Exposed City: Mapping the Urban Invisibles (Foreword by Richard Saul Wurman, TED Founder)

The publication profiles a theoretical study of mapping as it relates to visual representation of the city from the early 20th century to today and through new visuals- “the Map-Landscapes”. Amoroso tackles these questions by taking statistical urban data and exploring how they could be transformed into innovative new maps. The "unseen" elements of the city are examined in ground-breaking images throughout the book, which are complemented by interviews with Winy Maas and James Corner, comments by Richard Saul Wurman, and sections by the SENSEable City Lab group.
